MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mar 5, 2020–Minneapolis-based Precision Kiosk Technologies, the industry leader in autonomous alcohol screening and probation monitoring systems, today announced that it has named NextGen Monitoring and Labs, Inc. as its Authorized Distributor for the AB Kiosk® system in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska.

NextGen Monitoring is an electronic monitoring and forensic lab company with a comprehensive line of offender monitoring and management products for probation and corrections departments. In addition to representing the AB Kiosk system, NextGen also sells and services products for continuous alcohol monitoring, electronic location monitoring, and remote breath testing systems.

The AB Kiosk is a secure, integrated system that autonomously handles probation monitoring and alcohol monitoring from start to finish. In the last 24 months, law enforcement and corrections customers have used the AB Kiosk system to autonomously coordinate and conduct more than 103,000 alcohol-monitoring tests with a “passed test” compliance rate of 99.9%.

In addition, the Probation Department of Marion County, Indiana, is now using AB Kiosks to handle probation check-ins for its low-risk clients. This network of four AB Kiosks has enabled Marion County to reduce the average number of face-to-face managed clients per probation officer from 120 to 88, enabling its probation officers to focus their attention on higher-risk clients.

The AB Kiosk system consists of two integrated components: an interactive kiosk and a robust client-management software program. The Kiosk uses biometric fingerprint authentication to verify the identity of the individual, captures video as it administers a breathalyzer test or probation check-in, and automatically uploads the results to the client’s file. Operating without any direct supervision, the Kiosk can screen and monitor up to 40 individuals per hour, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The system’s cloud-based client-management software simplifies new-client onboarding, coordinates regular and random test scheduling, and handles all test notifications and accounting.

“We are pleased to have NextGen Monitoring representing the AB Kiosk system,” said Patrick McKinney, general manager of Precision Kiosk Technologies. “NextGen has a long history of providing the latest technologies to their customers, and we expect that the AB Kiosk system will be a game-changer for probation and corrections agencies in this region of the U.S.”
