Police across the UK were kept busy by the hordes of drunken ghouls, witches and monsters celebrating Halloween last night.

Pictures showed them spilling out from the bars and onto the streets of Birmingham where police made several arrests and broke up fights on one of their busiest nights of the year.

Several forces around the country report a spike in antisocial behaviour and public disorder on the Halloween weekend.
