Man arrested for running illegal gambling club in deli

Suffolk County Police arrested a man for running an illegal gambling club in a deli in Huntington after a State Liquor Authority (SLA) inspection last night. A gambling club in the basement was discovered with approximately 30 people inside. Officers confiscated dice tables, dice, joker poker machines, cash and drugs. He was also charged under the Alcohol Beverage Control Law (ABC Law) with Consumption on a Licensed Premise, Gambling, and the Sale of Alcohol without the Appropriate License.
